USAGE GUIDELINES FOR ORANGE® CURRICULUM AND PRODUCTS

GENERAL GUIDELINES

• These guidelines supplement the Amazing Life Foundation (ALF) Content License Agreement. Your Organization’s use of Orange® Content must comply with these guidelines, the applicable License Agreement, and the Terms and Conditions: Subscription with Automatic Renewal (available at https://thinkorange.com/legal/). Capitalized terms (e.g., “Content,” “Trademarks,” “Term”) are defined in the applicable License Agreement or Terms unless specified here.
• For Organizations: For Licenses purchased by churches and other ministry Organizations, access to and use of the Orange® Content and Trademarks is restricted to employees and volunteers of the subscribing Organization solely to conduct your Organization’s ministry program during an active subscription term (Initial Term or Renewal Term).
• For Individuals: For Licenses purchased by individuals, access and use are limited to the specific item(s) of Orange® Content covered by the License, use is expressly restricted to personal, non-commercial use only, and the individual may not use the Trademarks nor reproduce, adapt, edit, display, or distribute the Content.
• Your Responsibility: You must inform all users within your Organization of these Usage Guidelines and applicable restrictions, and enforce compliance.

CURRICULUM SUBSCRIPTIONS AND ADD-ONS

The following guidelines apply to Orange® curriculum, media packages, VBS Content, and additional resources licensed for use with Orange® curriculum by Amazing Life Foundation (ALF):

• Reproduction and Distribution: Orange® Content may be reproduced and distributed only to employees, volunteers, children, and families within your Organization’s children’s ministry environment during the active subscription term (Initial Term or Renewal Term, as defined in the Terms and Conditions).
• Distribution Methods: Orange® Content may be shared with your staff and volunteers via printed copies, email, portable media storage devices, private social media groups, private file-sharing folders, or local servers with industry-standard security, accessible only to your Organization’s employees, volunteers, and ministry participants, provided copies are limited to the number reasonably necessary.
• Adaptations: Your Organization may create original videos and live productions (“Adaptations”) from the Orange® curriculum Content, provided:

• Adaptations are displayed and performed solely in your Organization’s children’s ministry environment or program during the active subscription term;
• Adaptations are not distributed outside the Organization or sold.

• Playlister® + Orange® Service: Organizations using this service may select applicable Orange® Content, compile it with Organization-created videos or content, and stream the combined files via the Playlister service. You may post or distribute Playlister-generated links to your members.
• Message Scripts: If Orange® Content includes message scripts or notes:

• No more than 100 words may be directly quoted without prior written permission from ALF.
• Personal examples in Orange® messages must be replaced with Organization-specific examples.
• Adapted messages may be performed only as part of your Organization’s ministry program, promoted only to your membership, on your premises, and via ALF-branded websites and social media accounts. You may sell audio recordings internally to members and live stream from your website, but podcasting, external distribution, or sales beyond your membership/premises are prohibited.

• Music/Audio and Video Files: Files provided by ALF for download as part of an Orange® curriculum subscription may be used during the active subscription term as follows:

• Playback on Organization premises: unlimited.
• Permission to burn to CD/DVD or storage device: unlimited for distribution to employees and volunteers within your Organization.
• Prohibition: Reproduction for sale or distribution outside your Organization is strictly prohibited.

• Prohibited Uses: Except as expressly authorized above or under an Enhanced License, posting any Orange® Content, Trademarks, or Adaptations, in whole or in part, on unsecured or public websites, video-sharing platforms (e.g., YouTube), social media platforms, or other online means, or using them in for-sale or commercial products or services, is strictly prohibited and will automatically void your license and terminate subscription access, per the Terms and Conditions.

ENHANCED LICENSE

Organizations purchasing an Enhanced License from Amazing Life Foundation (ALF) may exercise the following expanded rights to Orange® Content:

• Enhanced Adaptations: Create customized weekly Content offerings by revising eligible Orange® Content files and combining them with Organization video recordings or other content. The Content License terms for Adaptations apply.
• Streaming: Stream Orange® Content and Adaptations only from Authorized URLs, starting no earlier than the ALF-specified release date and ceasing no later than three (3) months after that date.

• Authorized URLs: Only websites, social media platforms, and video-sharing platforms operated and prominently branded with your Organization’s name/trademark qualify. Your name/trademark must be clearly visible where streaming occurs.
• Streaming Methods: Use embedded players on Authorized URLs or unique links for streaming; direct uploads to public platforms (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo) are prohibited unless on an Organization-branded, private/link-only channel.
• No Downloads: Orange® Content and Adaptations may not be posted or made available for download.

• Music Licenses: You are solely responsible for obtaining blanket music streaming licenses or other rights needed for Adaptations. ALF is not liable for infringement from third-party material you incorporate, including platform blocks.

REVISIONS AND ADAPTATIONS

• Any Orange® Content not expressly designated by ALF as “editable” may not be revised or edited.
• Adaptations and authorized revisions must comply with ALF’s statement of faith (located at https://thinkorange.com/statement-of-faith/) and retain the original copyright notice: “Adapted from [curriculum name] with permission. © [year], Amazing Life Foundation.”
• Music Licenses: Any required licenses for Adaptations are your responsibility; ALF does not provide these.
• Rights Granted: Per the Content License Agreement, you grant ALF a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your Adaptations.

EXPIRATION OF RIGHTS

• Your Organization must cease all use of Orange® Content, Adaptations, and Trademarks upon expiration or termination of the subscription term (e.g., end of Initial Term without renewal, cancellation per the Cancellation Policy, or license voidance).
• Content Disposal: All copies of Orange® Content accessed during the term—stored on hard drives, servers, file-sharing services, or in hard copy—must be deleted or destroyed upon expiration or termination.
• Enforcement: ALF reserves the right to:

• Terminate or downgrade your license without refund for violations of the Content License or Usage Guidelines;
• Charge you for an available License (e.g., Enhanced License) for a one-year period if you exceed your licensed rights;
• Request immediate removal of Orange® Content, Adaptations, or Trademarks if ALF determines they risk liability, with which you must comply.

TRADEMARKS

• Curriculum subscribers may reproduce and display Orange® Trademarks only in connection with the ministry environment or program using the corresponding curriculum during an active subscription term.
• Usage Rules: Use Trademarks as provided by ALF without alteration, include notices (“™” or “®”), and follow the ALF trademark style guide (available upon request or as updated). Text usage must be in ALL CAPS with notices (e.g., FIRST LOOK®).
• Restrictions: Trademarks may not be used in your Organization’s name, ministry/program names, or for-sale products/services.

INDIVIDUAL PRODUCTS

• Content from individual Orange® products (e.g., printed books, CDs/DVDs, USB/flash drives, ebooks, downloadable videos/music/files) purchased via the ALF Store is licensed (not sold) by Amazing Life Foundation (ALF) and/or its licensors for personal, non-commercial use only by the purchasing individual or Organization.
